The overall purpose is to bring together a network of bird owners, and experts who will be able to share their enthusiasm and, experience in caring for birds with each other and new bird owners alike.

1. Bird Health: How to maintain a healthy life style for you pet's happiness and longevity. Understanding common parrot health problems.

Vets: Not all vets are able to practice medicine on birds. A bird's physiology is a lot different than other animals. Be sure that you find a
vet that specializes in birds
3. Habitat: What type of aviaries, and bird cage to provide for different birds. Sizes, and bar spacing. Even what perch sizes are recommended for inside, and for play tops, and jungle gyms.
4. Diet: What type of food you should be feeding your bird. Different birds have different dietary requirements. What types of pellets, and seeds to feed. What type of people food you can feed them. What foods you need not give your parrot.
5. Safety: There are certain things that are safe for you and other pets, but harmful or fatal to parrots. Find out what you should not have in your home. What type of cleaners to use, and not to use.
6. Toys: Great for learning and play. What foot toys are, play tops, activities that provide fun and stimulation for your bird. They are very intelligent creatures, and require stimulus for their mind.
7. Choosing companion bird: How to choose what bird is right for you. Just because you may like how a bird looks, doesn't mean that it will be a right match for you. It is not fair to the bird. They are wild animals by nature. Even though they are captive, they rely on instinct that cannot be undone.
8. How to train parrots to talk: Learn about methods, and great teaching aids available. Like how to make a parrot talk. Well you don't make them talk, you teach them to talk.
Take advantage of the community bulletin board. Find out when bird shows, and events are in your area. FInd out about adoptions in your area. Submit events for others to discover.
